My name is Kylee, I am a 25 year old aspiring independent writer from the beautiful Pacific Northwest. For as long as I can remember both writing and music have been my two main creative outlets. When I was younger it started through journaling and writing a couple fictional stories for fun. This started as a child and into my teens, all while listening to my favorite music at whatever point it was in my life at the time. I never wrote without having a song soundtrack my thoughts.
Since graduating high school, I put my writing on the back burner a bit. I recently came to the realization that I felt as though I was missing something, a greater purpose or even just a fulfilling hobby. That’s when the idea came to me to begin this blog.
The beautiful thing about this blog is it gives me a space to incorporate both of my passions into one. It allows me to express myself through my writing, while speaking on music that has helped shape me as an individual, and to continue discovering new content along the way.
If there is anything I have learned in my life, it is that words are powerful, and music is a universal language that brings people together. I have met some of my best friends and made lifelong connections with people solely through the music we listen to. Whether it be through meeting people at concerts, through social media platforms, or even sparking up conversation with a complete stranger who is wearing a band t-shirt I like, the opportunities are endless.
All I ever want with this blog is to expand those experiences, meet new people and be exposed to new music. So if you’ve taken the time to stop by and read a post of mine, I already feel like it’s been worthwhile. I can’t wait to see where this takes me.
